Messing with Nate

I love all kinds of stuff. More stuff than you probably have time to read about. Today I am going to talk about my love of watching WWE Wrestling.

There are a group of us who watch wrestling or keep up with it quite frequently. We love it so much we joined a Fantasy Wrestling League (similar to a Fantasy Football League), through Drop the Belt. We also thought it would be a great idea if we each had an action figure (NEVER call it a doll around boys) of our favorite wrestler on our team. (Hey I am a self proclaimed nerd). Anyway, we each got a figure of our favorite, everyone EXCEPT for Nate. Poor Nate could not find the figure of Dolph Ziggler (Yup, that's the guy's name). You know who did find that figure? I did!

I decided I should have a little fun at Nate's and Dolph's expense.. So here is the adventure Dolph went on:

Dolph's day started in the car, he enjoyed the view from Highway 1!

Next Dolph, made a quick stop by Twin Lakes Church to drop off gifts for charity.
See this is him right outside!
Charity work and driving sure made Dolph hungry.
He made a stop by his and Nate's favorite burger joint in Los Gatos, CA.
Always the gentleman, Dolph offers to pay for lunch.
(Thanks Dolph!)
Dolph's got quite an appetite. A cheese hound, fries, and a burger?
Good thing he works out a lot!
No job is too big for Dolph, even this burger.
The master of all fries.

Dolph was so great. He even shared with Don (Left) and Bill (Right). But Nate was missed!

It was so much fun sending Nate periodic texts. And he was such a good sport about it, but who knows where Dolph will take us next...

Makeup how I love thee....

I have loved makeup ever since I was old enough to wear it, but let's face it makeup is expensive. If I won the lottery I would most likely be buying MAC Cosmetics, Dior, and NARS, but I'm on a budget, so I need to get creative.

I have found some inexpensive sites that sell some great makeup so I thought I would share some of my favorite products and sites!

e.l.f. Cosmetics (e.l.f stands for eyes, lips, and face) offers makeup and tools with prices that are easy on the bank account.

Here are some of my favorites from e.l.f.

e.l.f. Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer

I have tried a few primers and found that e.l.f.'s $6.00 primer is just as good and so much cheaper!

Every girl who has ever really been into makeup knows that quality brushes are essential to getting the right look. The problem with this, is that most brushes (either individual or sets) are rather pricey. e.l.f. has put out great quality brushes for spectacular prices. e.l.f. offers brush sets in prices ranging from $5.00 and up to $30.00 (depending on the size of the set). Individual brushes cost anywhere from $1.00 to $8.00. I have purchased many of the $1.00 brushes and LOVE them!

While e.l.f Cosmetics, may never be MAC, their makeup still offers amazing quality. You can buy items individually from e.l.f, but some of my favorite purchases have been sets, since most times they include everything I need for a particular look. My most recent set purchase was the e.l.f. Beauty Book Eye Set in Smoky. The set comes with 6 Eye-shadows  1 Eyelid Primer, 1 Eyeliner Pencil, 1 Built-in Mirror, and 1 Dual Ended Applicator. The set also gives you directions on how to achieve the certain looks with the eye-shadows provided. All this for $5.00, not a bad buy at all!

e.l.f. is a great place to pick up essentials. You can find them in some stores, such as Target, but their entire collection is available online. e.l.f. always has specials running, so if you buy online don't forget to search for coupon codes before completing your purchase.

Currently if you use the coupon code loveit you can get 50% off their favorites on orders of $20 or more. e.l.f.'s favorites can be found here.

Amazon.com is a great source for inexpensive makeup, if you are willing to do some searching. I have found many items from Maybelline and L'Oreal at a fraction of their retail prices.

Some of my faves include:

Maybelline New York Colorsensational Lip Gloss . Normally $6.49, on Amazon it's available for $2.89 with FREE shipping.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Color Presso, is normally $13.00, but on Amazon I got it in Classy for $3.71 with FREE shipping.

L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale All-Over Mineral  is normally $15.95, but I got it in Honey Glow for $3.90.

There are many more deals out there. If you want more links or suggestions let me know by leaving a comment!

Warm Bodies ** Spoilers Included **

The hubby is a HUGE fan of anything Zombie related, so he was super excited to go see the new Summit Entertainment comedy, Warm Bodies. Originally a novel by Isaac Marion, Warm Bodies: A Novel , was written as the zombie version of Romeo and Juliet.

So how was it?

Warm Bodies is a fantastic twist on the Zombie genre. Boy sees girl. Boy eats girl's boyfriend's brains. Boy falls for girl. Girl falls for boy. Oh and the boy is a Zombie, duh!

Nicholas Hoult (of Skins), does an impressive job of shuffling about an abandoned airport as the zombie named R. R longs for something more than just the same old routine, day in and day out.

Teresa Palmer (of Take Me Home Tonight) plays Julie, the daughter of Grigio, played by John Malkovich. Julie lives in the last known human settlement in the United States, but longs for more than just getting by.

Warm Bodies does a wonderful job of showing the audience the importance of keeping an open mind and communication. Overall the movie is cute, funny, thoughtful, but does have some strong language and brains in it, so I would only let the older teens see this one!

I'm Back!

September, was that really the last time I blogged anything? Eek. I am absolutely disappointed in myself. I am sure my 3 readers have been bored to tears without my witty musings. Yea, right. Still I am sorry for the delay on any new content.

When I last posted I had just started getting into board games. Even back in September I was already infatuated with them. Now I can say that I am truly in LOVE with board games! Board games are more than just fun, they bring people together with out cell phones, emails, or Facebook. A table, good friends and a good game is all you really need and let's face it if worse comes to worse you can do without the table. Now I admit that it has been a couple of months since I have gotten together for a great night of gaming with the usual group of friends, but it's just a matter of time.

The more I think of it, I owe a great deal of thanks to my friends Steve and Genie. They have shown me so many great games and have been so patient when explaining how to play them all. Let's face it some of these games can be confusing until you get the hang of them!

I know it was a short post but I PROMISE I will be back next week and in the weeks to follow with more posts on games, T.V., Movies, Pintrest, and projects.
